Patna,(BiharTimes): One of the senior most ministers of Bihar, Narendra Singh, said on Friday that Jitan Ram Manjhi would remain as the chief minister of Bihar till the next Assembly election.

Talking to the media the agriculture minister said that there is no danger to Manjhi and added it would not be appropriate to stir hornet’s nest just before the Assembly election.“Do you expect a ‘Buddhiman’ (sensible and mature) person like Nitish Kumar to commit suicide and turn away the Mahadalit votes,” he said while commenting on the latest political developments.

Incidentally, two other ministers Brishen Patel and Ramai Ram have given similar statement. The latter went on to state that Manjhi can only be succeeded by another Mahadalit chief minister.
