Have stopped BJP’s bid to walk away with Mahadalit votes: Manjhi

 


Patna,(BiharTimes): Bihar chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi said on Monday that he had stopped the BJP’s bid to walk away with the Mahadalit votes.Talking to the media on the sidelines of the Janata Darbar at his official residence the chief minister said that he had stopped BJP’s hands towards the Mahadalits (“haath ruk gaya hai”).


Without mincing his words Manjhi said that no one can be better chief minister of Bihar than Nitish Kumar (Nitish Kumar se badhiyan koi mukhiya mantri nahin ho saka hai).Manjhi said that after the merger of the Janata Dal (United) with other parties of Janata Parivar he would once again proposed the name of Nitish Kumar for the post of chief minister.


However, he hastened to add his own name as alternative Mahadalit chief minister. He reiterated that he prefers a Mahadalit chief minister in the future as the aspirations of this social group has increased after he had become the CM.Manjhi claimed that Mahadalits have got united under him, and the BJP would be greatly disappointed. He said he would be the best bet for the uplift of Mahadalits.


He said that he, that is, Manjhi had helped the party tide over the crisis in the midstream.The chief minister once again held the media directly responsible for the confusion over the chief minister. Supporting the concept of retirement age for the politicians he said that he would not be in politics after 75.
