Patna,(BiharTimes): Senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi said on Monday that his party would commemorate the birth anniversary function of former chief minister Karpoori Thakur on January 23 at Beer Chand Patel Marg itself if the ruling Janata Dal (United) government refuses to give the Miller School or Veterinary College ground for this purpose. The party’s national president Amit Shah is to attend the function.

SuMo, who was in New Delhi on Sunday to attend the core group meeting with Amit Shah, alleged that the state government had first denied Miller School ground and now even desisting from giving Veterinary College ground. In that case the party would be forced to hold the function on the road. Since 2014 the party has been observing the birth anniversary of Karpoori Thakur in a big way, apparently to woo the extreme backward caste votes.
