Merged parties of Janata Parivar may pose a big challenge to
BJP: Upendra Kushwaha
Patna,(BiharTimes): Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP)
president and Union Minister of State for Education Upendra
Kushwaha on Wednesday acknowledged that the merger of the
five parties of Janata Parivar would no doubt pose a big
challenge to the BJP and its allies in Bihar in the Assembly
election to be held later this year.
Talking to the media he said the merger would send a strong
message across the state. It was easy for NDA to defeat them
when they fought election separately but the scene would not
be the same after the unification of these parties and the
BJP-led alliance would have to be well prepared for it.
He cited the results of by-elections for 10 seats held on
August 21 last year, in which the JD-RJD-Congress won six out
of 10.
Hosting a ‘dahi-chura’ party for RLSP workers in Patna
Kushwaha, however, said there was no need for NDA to worry.
The Union minister said Nitish Kumar seems to be in a hurry
for merger while Lalu Prasasd is cold shouldering him. The
former has completely surrendered before the latter, he
added.
