Narendra Singh urges Sharad to call high-level party meet

Patna,(BiharTimes): Bihar’s agriculture minister Narendra Singh on Sunday asked the Janata Dal (United) chief Sharad Tadav to call a meeting to discuss the issues arising after the statements made by the two spokesmen of Janata Dal (United), Neeraj Kumar and Ajay Alok.

While the former had criticized chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi the latter had asked ministers Narendra Singh and Nitish Mishra––and latter he added the name of Brishen Patel––to quit.

The agriculture minister said that all the senior leaders of the party should be called for the meeting. If this is not done some people may destroy it. He also complained that the contributions of all those who toiled so hard to build the JD(U) are being ignored.

Meanwhile, on Saturday Narendra Singh said that what wrong it is if chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi had met Sadhu Yadav. “Kya Sadhu Yadav Chambal ghati ka dacoit hai? (Is Sadhu Yadav a dacoit of Chambal valley?). But he also said that former CM Nitish Kumar alone was fit to be the face and leader of the merged JD (U) and RJD when they go to the Assembly election later this year but added that MLAs alone would decide who would be the chief minister in case the new party came to power.

Surprisingly, he showered praise on Nitish by saying that he is honest, experienced, has an idea of development and also knows how to run the government. He is best suited to be the face and leader of the merged JD (U) and RJD.

However, the senior most minister of the state cabinet called for the collective leadership. Manjhi is a prominent face like Nitish, RJD chief Lalu Prasad and others, he added.

Narendra Singh clarified that at personal level he never had differences with Lalu and said that he attended the marriage of his daughters. “My differences were over the kind of work that was being done under his nose,” and went on to add that Lalu has changed, his style of working has changed, and his ‘soch’ (thought) has also changed.
