Sharad, Lalu hold talks as Jan 30 Janata Parivar meeting cancelled
Patna,(BiharTimes): JD(U) president Sharad Yadav on Thursday held a long discussion with his RJD counterpart Lalu Prasad in New Delhi. The meeting came two days after Sharad met Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav.
Earlier, the leaders of the Janata Parivar were to meet in New Delhi on Jan 30, but it was postponed for later date after Nitish Kumar cancelled his visit to Delhi, where he was also supposed to campaign for Aam Admi Party candidates.Reports said that Nitish received cool response from AAP leadership too as he has lost a lot of political weight in last few months.
The RJD is now cold towards merger after the infighting within the Janata Dal (United), which is now divided between the Jitan Ram Manjhi and Nitish Kumar camps. Both Lalu and Raghuvansh Prasad Singh, while addressing partymen on Wednesday at the birth anniversary of late chief minister Karpoori Thakur, dropped enough hints about their displeasure over what is happening in the Janata Dal (United). In a way both held the JD(U) responsible for the delay in merger.
