Patna,(BiharTimes): Justice N N Singh headed Bhagalpur Riots Probe Commission on Sunday submitted its final report to Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar nine years after it was constituted. The Commission had already submitted its interim report.

Principal home secretary Amir Subhani was also present at the time when Justice (Retd) Singh met the chief minister and handed over the report to him.According to Subhani the state government would initiate necessary steps after studying the report.

Nitish had set up this inquiry commission in February 2006, three months after coming to power.The Bhagalpur riots of 1989 had already been probed by a three-member Commission, which submitted its report in 1995. Still the JD(U)-BJP government constituted Justice Singh Commission to probe it.
