Patna,(BiharTimes): Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) Javed Ahmad on Monday ordered former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi and road construction minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lallan Singh to appear before it in person on March 10 in connection with their petitions for mutual compromise in a defamation case the latter had filed against former.

Lallan Singh and Rabri Devi had filed petitions for mutual compromise on January 10 in the hearing of a defamation case.Lallan filed defamation suit after Rabri Devi allegedly used abusive language against him in a speech during the 2009 Lok Sabha election campaign.However, the two agreed for mutual compromise after efforts were made to bring about merger of the ruling Janata Dal (United) with the Rashtriya Janata Dal.
