Nitish blasts BJP for celebrating “second murder” of its own
leader
Patna,(BiharTimes): Strongly condemning the BJP for
celebrating 360 degree turn on Article 370 Bihar chief
minister Nitish Kumar on Monday asked: for what are these
people bursting crackers in the party office––for the “second
murder” of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee.
Mukherjee, founder of Bharatiya Jan Sangh, (the earlier
version of BJP) died in a jail in Jammu and Kashmir in 1953
while launching a protest movement against Article 370 of the
Indian Constitution, which provides special status to this
state.
Talking to the media on the sidelines of the Janata Darbar
Nitish denounced the unprincipled and opportunistic stand of
the saffron party, which had entered into an alliance with
the Progressive Democratic Party to form the government in
this north Indian state.
The BJP workers burst crackers and distributed sweets not
only in the Patna office but elsewhere too after Mufti
Mohammad Sayeed, who holds a totally different view on
Article 370, took oath as the chief minister.
Nitish as to how can a prime minister of the country changed
his position on such an issue within matter of days, when the
Sangh Parivar had been making so much issue of Article 370 in
the last over 60 years.
Nitish termed this stand of the prime minister as the
betrayal against people of the country.
Nitish asked the BJP to make its stand clear on Mufti Sayeed
thanking Hurriyat, militants and “people from across the
border” for the peaceful election in Jammu and Kashmir.
Hitting out at BJP chief Amit Shah’s remarks on the proposed
merger of JD(U) and RJD Nitish questioned as to why the
saffron party is still hobnobbing with Sharad Pawar’s NCP,
whom none else but Narendra Modi used to call “Naturally
Corrupt Party.”
He came down heavily on Amit Shah’s U-turn on the black-money
issue.
