Patna,(BiharTimes): Parliamentary affairs minister and chief whip of Janata Dal (United) on Thursday gave enough hint about party taking action against the former chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi for staying away on the day Nitish Kumar sought trust vote on Wednesday (March 11).

Talking to the media he said the party must take action against Manjhi for violating the party whip to vote in favour of the confidence motion. He also said the reply to Manjhi’s letter about the whip’s legality in case of an unattached member was sent before the trust vote on Wednesday.

However, Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) spokesman and a leader of Manjhi group, Rajiv Ranjan, said the former CM received Shrawan’s letter at around 4pm on Wednesday. He challenged the JD (U) leadership to disqualify Manjhi. Any action against Manjhi would further expose the anti-Mahadalit image
of Nitish Kumar, Rajiv Ranjan said.
