Manjhi pained at BJP’s refusal to support his government
Patna,(BiharTimes): Former Bihar chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi on Friday regretted that prime minister Narendra Modi, BJP chief Amit Shah and state unit of the saffron party did not support his government on the floor of the Assembly.
Talking to the media in New Delhi he said that had the BJP supported his government on the floor of the state Assembly it would have won the trsut vote and Nitish Kumar would not have come back to power.
“As ‘dushman ka dushman dost hota hai’ (enemy’s enemy is friend) by that logic we would have won the confidence vote,” he claimed.
The former CM said that he would have been thankful to the BJP had it backed him. Manjhi said that his struggle against Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar would continue. He also accused the state Speaker Uday Narayan Chaudhary of throwing all norms to wind to blindly support Nitish Kumar. Manjhi said that a murder case is pending against the Speaker and his government had recommended a CBI probe into it. Manjhi is in Delhi to deliver a lecture in the Jawaharlal Nehru University on Dalit issue.
