Patna, Oct 19 (IANS) RJD chief Lalu Prasad on Monday dared the RSS and the BJP to burn RSS ideologue M.S. Golwalkar's book "Bunch of Thoughts" which he said opposes reservation for Dalits and OBCs.
"I challenge the RSS and (BJP president) Amit Shah to burn Golwalkar's book in public if they strongly favour reservation and are not against reservation," the former Bihar chief minister told the media here.
Lalu Prasad reiterated that both the Bharatiya Janata Party and its ideological parent, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, were "anti-Dalit and anti-OBC".
"The RSS is not a Hindu organization. It is a casteist one, a Brahmin outfit."
Lalu Prasad said Golwalkar had stated in his book that reservation in education and jobs should be provided on economic basis, not on the basis of caste.
He also said that the Grand Alliance of the JD-U, the RJD and the Congress was all set to wipe out the BJP and its allies in the ongoing assembly elections in Bihar.
"The BJP's and Modi's hype have been punctured in Bihar. Now they are seeking the help of Bollywood actress Hema Malini to woo voters," he said.
