BJP betrayed Manjhi, comments Lalu on Amit Shah’s statement

Patna,(BiharTimes): Commenting on the Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah’s statement that Hindustani Awam Morcha chief, Jitan Ram Manjhi has not been tipped as the chief ministerial candidate of the National Democratic Alliance, RJD supremo Lalu Prasad said that the saffron party had already betrayed him.

Lalu was referring to Amit Shah’s statement that the BJP has not given any indication to Manjhi that he would be the chief minister if the NDA wins the Bihar Assembly election.

“Manjhi has the right to speak on behalf of his party. As far as BJP is concerned we have not given any such indication, nor have we decided on a name,” he told Aap Ki Adalat show on India TV.

Replying to a question that the NDA’s campaign in Bihar is a marriage party without bridegroom Amit Shah cited the example of Maharashtra, Haryana and Jharkhand to buttress his point that the party relies on team-work and does not name CM candidate before the election.
