Crime Control Act imposed on Anant Singh

Patna,(BiharTimes): The Bihar government on Wednesday imposed Crime Control Act on jailed Independent MLA from Mokama, Anant Singh. Singh, a criminal-turned-politician, was till last year a Janata Dal (United) MLA and even considered close to chief minister Nitish Kumar.  He is behind bars under various charges of murder, kidnapping and extortion cases. Anant Singh was chargesheeted in a case related to the murder of a person seven years ago. Kotwali police of Patna had named Anant Singh as the eighth accused in the murder on the basis of call detail record (CDR) of his landline telephone on which he had allegedly conversed with sharp shooter Bhola Singh.   comments powered by Disqus
