Tourism infra may get a boost as high-profile Vietnamese delegation visits Bihar

6 Lakh Vietnamese visited Bihar in 2024 for the Buddhist Circuit. The visiting delegation will explore opportunities to make it an annual affair by starting direct flight to Patna

The delegation will also explore investment opportunities in Travel and Tourism sector in Bihar

PATNA: Bihar is gearing up for a significant visit from a Vietnamese delegation from March 19-23, 2025. The visit aims to strengthen trade, commerce, and cultural ties between Bihar and Vietnam.

Mr. Omer Hejazeen, a Dubai-based Bihari entrepreneur who is facilitating the visit, said that this visit is expected to boost Bihar’s economy, particularly in the tourism and hospitality sectors and create new opportunities for businesses in both regions.

“The Vietnamese delegation has expressed interest in exploring Bihar’s Buddhist Circuit, comprising Gaya, Rajgir, and Nalanda and facilitating to start direct flight by Vietnam Airlines, once Patna airport is ready for international flights, which will help almost 6 lakh Vietnamese to visit Buddhist tourism circuit in Bihar every year,” he said.

A key highlight of the visit is the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Bihar Industries Association and the Vietnamese delegation.

Mr. Nikhil Singh, CEO, Amrapali Foods Pvt Ltd, welcomed the visit and said that the MOU will pave the way for increased economic cooperation, people-to-people exchanges, and cultural exchange programmes between Bihar and Vietnam. This development is a significant step forward in strengthening bilateral relations between India and Vietnam.

The Vietnamese delegation comprises esteemed individuals, including Mr. Dinh Vinh Cuong, President of Vietnam International Entrepreneur Networking Club (VIENC) with 1800 members and Chairman of 365 group ( a diversified business interest from hospitality to food processing, Automobile to export of coffee and fresh fruits) and ex vice president of Vietnam Airlines, Mr. Phung Cong Dung, Chairman of Vietnamese Oversea Committee representing more than 3 million Vietnamese diaspora, Mr. Lam Van Diep, CEO of Triple 7 Travel Company ( one of the biggest in Outbound tourism) and Mr. Le Khac Sinh, a renowned journalist.
