Shattering & Devastating

comments... I feel it's high time that the so called 30-35 yrs youths of Bihar living there come to the terms with the new economic growth of our country. They are still living in Pre liberalisation era. Professionally they are redundant. And hence they are a big burden on any state let alone Bihar. If Nitish govt. provides them with a job @ 4k-7k per month, I think that should be more than enough. Just consider the cost involved to recruit lakhs of illiterate literate people. No organization can afford that. I have no reasons to believe that any person just recruited in the name of providing employment can do justice with his/her job. And job of teaching is a very demanding one. You can excel only if you have a passion to teach and not just to do a job. They should take lesson from their friends who are joining BPOs and earning much more than what they can even think of. Plus they are getting into this global culture and forgetting fast about their castes and every discriminatory concepts. Concluding this I strongly feel that Youths living in Bihar need to think beyond the traditional ways of getting a job. Kunal
Kishore, -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You have looked at my essay only from the perspective of those people who are seeking their career as teachers. May you kindly look at the phenomenon from the perspective of the "quality" education to the people of Bihar? Moreover, why should only a section of teachers (in this case, those who are going to be recruited) be punished in terms of salaries? Why should others(viz. MLAs/ministers/officers) be left out. Bihar is financially bankrupt for all those people who get salaries/perks from the govt. Sajjad ------------------------------------------------------------ In
Bihar everything is in chaos. And what I firmly believe from "contribution
to the growth" point of view that these so called "teachers"
have got the least to contribute and hence redundant. Our Bihar
first needs to grow economically. True that MLAs/ministers/officers
should not enjoy the perks but we should realize that it's them
who are going to contribute to the overall growth more than anyone
else. I personally feel one requires a minimum level of comfort
to work. This can not be denied. Let those teachers think about "Generation next" now. Let them not be a burden on the state economy. They are no way going to contribute to our Bihar's development. And yes we need to take toughest of decisions to attain the development. I am also a Bihari. I never relied on my state to give me a job. They relied so let them pay the price. Afterall people like me living like refugees in other states. It's ever struggling times for Biharis outside Bihar specially the student community. Obviously those so called "teachers" didn't want to struggle early on in their life. They ate homely food and now they want all the compensations and again at the cost of their state. Why dont they look at the options other than govt jobs? I mean to say self-employment ?? Kunal Kishore ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The
article does not evaluate the Education policy but rather reflect
the personal view of the author, who seems to be an ideolog of leftist
point of view. The author himself admits that there was no education
policy during Lallo-Rabri govt for last 15 yrs and the education
at all level was completely ignored with an agenda that the kids
of so called upper caste will not be able to get education and this
policy of Laloo-Rabri harmed more to the children of poor people.
Any movement led by communists and Lallo and others will take Bihar back to rotten period of Lallo-Rabri regime. Let us all help Nitish govt to improve Law & order, education, and basic infra structure of Bihar and restore decency and some civilized system in Bihar. So, Dr. Sajjad, in place of talking nonsense and writing such useless article, use your talent and training to empower Bihar with a positive agenda. Socialists and communists have already damaged enough Bihar. N Singh USA
