India’s first multi-media museum to start functioning in Nalanda from Jan 26

 

Patna, (Bihar Times): The country’s first multi-media museum is soon going to be set up at Nalanda, the ancient site of Buddhist learning, where the central government is planning to open an university. A non-resident Bihari, Naveen Kumar Sharma, is brain behind the project.

The museum will be set up by Prachin Bharat Tourism, a Bangalore-based company, run by Sharma. It will cost Rs.100 million. The museum is scheduled to open on January 26, 2008. It will be set up with a public-private partnership.

According to Sharma the multi-media museum will have six sections providing detailed information about Nalanda and its heritage.
