Patna, (Bihar Times): The deputy chief minister
of Bihar, Sushil Kumar Modi, sustained injuries when the driver of the Jetlite
bus in which he was travelling applied sudden brake. Modi lost his balance and
was hit on his head by the vertical handrail inside the bus. The
incident took place at Delhi airport runway. It is said that the driver suddenly
applied brake on seeing Deccan Air plane approaching the bus. According to Ravi
Shankar Prasad, the former Union minister who was also in the bus, the driver
was busy talking to someone over mobile. Modi who
was taken to hospital was later in the evening released and advised rest for some
days. He also reported pain in the backbone. Modi was on his way to Ahmadabad
to campaign in the Gujarat election. He had to postpone his programme.
