Patna, (Bihar Times): Extending their solidarity
towards the agitation third and fourth grade health
employees nurses of Patna Medical College and Hospital
went on indefinite strike from late on Monday night.
The strike has crippled the functioning in the hospital.
Meanwhile, the strike by the third and fourth grade
employees entered the fourth day on Tuesday. They went
on strike following the brutal police lathi-charge on
women health workers, including trained mid-wives and
Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA), mostly
engaged in rural areas. Many of them were injured in
the attack and their leaders arrested. Among other
things they were demanding the payment of their
salaries due for last several months.
