Patna, (Bihar Times): The Board of Directors of the
National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd (NTPC) at its
meeting held on Monday approved investments in three
power projects in the country, including one in Bihar.
The Board approved the company’s equity investment in Bhartiya Rail Bijlee Company Ltd (a subsidiary of the
Company) upto Rs 11882.60 million (equivalent to 74%
of equity contribution) to enable it to implement 4 X 250 MW Nabinagar Thermal Power Project in Bihar,subject to prior proportionate equity contribution by
Railways.
Besides, it gave the investment approval for Mauda
Thermal Power Project (2 x 500 MW) in of Maharashtra at an appraised estimated cost of Rs 54,592.79
million.
The Board gave the investment approval to undertake
renovation and modernization works at Kawas Gas Power
Station (645 MW) in Gujarat at an estimated cost of Rs
5974.90 million.
