Patna, (Bihar Times): Former Chief Secretary Ashok Choudhary has been appointed as the chairman of the Bihar Public Service Commission. He retired on 31st Aug. and later was given an extension of three months. He will take over the charge from N K Agrawal on 15th of this month and continue on the post till 2010.
Just before his retirement, a section of the media had exposed
his involvement in the medical admission scam when he was the Health
secretary of Bihar.
Earlier Bihar govt. had
appointed some senior or retired IAS officers on plum postings like appointment of Shakeel Ahmed and P N Narayanan as information commissioners.
Another senior officer J K Dutta was accommodated as
the state Election commissioner. Another IAS officer K A H Subramanian was appointed as director of L N Mishra Institute of Economic Development and Social Change by the previous regime just after the retirement.
