Patna, (Bihar Times): Justic Shashank Kumar Singh, Chief Information Commissioner, Bihar has imposed a penalty of Rs. 250 per day with effect from January 7 on West Champaran District Magistrate. It was found that in-spite-of the direction of the Commission the District Magaistrate had not provided complete information to the petitioner Ravindra Pal Singh Chawla.

The Chief Information Commissioner in his order has directed the District Magistrate to personally appear before the commission with his explanation on February 4.
