Patna, (Bihar Times): With situation is still fluid in
the two National Democratic Alliance constituents the
newly elected Rajya Sabha MP of the Janata Dal
(United), Dr Ejaz Ali, strongly criticized the ousted
Building Construction Miniser, Monazir Hasan, for his
anti-Nitish statement.
In a statement Dr Ali said that why had he been
reminded of the sorry plight of the Muslims after his
dismissal from the state cabinet. After all Monazir
was the minister even in the Rabri Devi cabinet and
what had he done for the uplift of Muslims, the leader
of the United Muslim Morcha asked.
Political observers are attaching significance to his
statement and are of the view that this statement was
given at the behest of the chief minister, Nitish
Kumar, who wants to counter the challenge from a
former Muslim minister by another leader of the
community.
