New Delhi, April 25: Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sushil Kumar Modi met party leader L.K. Advani here Friday.
Modi's visit to New Delhi assumes significance in the wake of the reshuffle of the Bihar council of ministers by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
A backward caste leader, Modi has been under attack from a section of his party legislators since the chief minister dropped April 10 some BJP ministers from among the upper castes.
Earlier in the week, a group of Bihar legislators including dropped minister Chander Mohan Rai met Advani, party president Rajnath Singh and other senior leaders. But Modi did not meet Rajnath Singh, party sources said.
