Patna, April 4:The week-long third Patna film festival is to open Saturday here. Bhojpuri, Hindi and foreign language films will be screened.
Bihar Information Minister Arjun Rai said the film festival will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
"The film festival will open with Aamir Khan's directorial debut `Tare Zameen Par' and conclude with a seminar on the development of Bhojpuri cinema," Rai said Friday.
He said 23 films would be screened during the film festival that closes April 11.
Noted film personalities including director Prakash Jha, actor Manoj Bajpai, Manoj Tiwari, newcomer Anurag Sinha, and Sanjay Tripathi are likely to attend the festival.
But actor turned politician Satrughan Sinha, better known as Bihari Babu, is unlikely to attend the festival, official sources in the information department said.
