Patna, (Bihar Times): Inordinate delay in the expansion of the Nitish cabinet once again figured in the Bharatiya Janata Party Legislative Party meet held under the chairmanship of the deputy chief minister, Sushil Kumar Modi, on Saturday. Poor quality of government works, shortage of urea and seeds and unchecked power to the bureaucrats were other discussion points in the meeting.

According to sources senior party leaders Bhola Singh, Giriraj Singh, Rampravesh Rai, Pramod Kumar  and others strongly criticized the functioning of the government. They said that the delay in the expansion of the cabinet was sending a wrong signal to party rank and file. It was none else but Bhola Singh, deputy speaker during the Rabri Devi government, who vehemently criticized Nitish Kumar in the NDA meeting last year. He then said that Nitish Kumar can be a better chief secretary not a good chief minister.

Reports said that the in-charge of the party affairs in Bihar Kalraj Mishra tried to pacify the MLAs but to little avail.

The legislators also raised doubts over the quality of work & materials used in various construction works going on in the state. They asked the govt. to evolve a foolproof system to monitor the schemes.

The BJP leaders’ criticism of the government on the urea and seeds front came as a surprise as till now the state government have been holding the Union government responsible for their shortage.
