| Patna, (Bihar Times): IIT aspirants of Ramanujan School
of Mathematics on Saturday had an unusual guest. On
Saturday they got an opportunity to rub shoulders with
Anita Prasad, a system engineer of Bihari origin at
Ames Research Centre of National Aeronautic and Space
Association (NASA).
She met the students of what is now generally called
the Super-30 and fielded questions on different
subjects from them. Anita, whose father went to the US
from Nawada in Bihar, was invited by Anand Kumar when
the latter went to California to attend the American
Mathematical Association Conclave last year. She
wanted to have the first hand experience of the
students of this famous coaching institutes. She said
that she had read a lot about Super 30 and was keen to
visit it.
Narrating her roots she said her father experienced
extreme poverty, but never lost heart and completed
his engineering course before flying to the United
States. Associated with SOFIA (Stratospheric
Observatory For Infrared Astronomy) project she is
also enganged in social work.
