| Patna, (Bihar Times): Railway minister Lalu Yadav on
Thursday strongly condemned the statement made by the
Lt Governor of Delhi, Tejendra Khanna, in which he
said that the people of North India break law more
frequently than those of South India.
He said that the people holding constitutional posts
like Governor or Lieutenant Governor should refrain
from giving such statements. Sometimes back the Delhi
chief minister, Shiela Dixit, also gave a statement
against Biharis and had to latter give a written
apology. Similarly, Tejendra Khanna too made a remark
against the North Indians sometimes back, he said.
Tejendra’s utterances came close on the heels of Raj
Thackeray’s outburst against the people of North
India. The BJP, LJP and Janata Dal (U) also criticized
him for his irresponsible statement.
