Patna (Bihar Times): President Pratibha Patil will pay
a two-day visit to Bihar on February 15-16 during
which she would participate in several official
functions in Gaya and Patna. This will be her first
visit after becoming the head of the state.
The security arrangement has been beefed up,
especially after the attack on the chief minister
Nitish Kumar in Nalanda last Friday, when he
accompanied the former President A P J Abdul Kalam to
the site of the ancient university.

Mrs Patil would arrive at the Gaya International
Airport and after inaugurating a cultural programme,
Tarang, at the Magadh University at Bodh Gaya on
February 15, she would fly to the state capital the
same evening.
The next morning she will visit Takht Saheb in Patna
City and would participate in two programmes: Kanya
Suraksha Yojana and Mukhiya Mantri Kanyadan Yojana.
She will also visit the Vaishaligarh, Shanti Stupa and
other historic sites. Later in the day she will
inaugurate International Conference on Hyperthermia
organized by Mahavir Cancer Sansthan. After that she
will leave for Delhi.
