Patna, (Bihar Times): The All India Council of
Technical Education has approved the opening of four
engineering colleges in Bihar in the next academic
session.
Three of them will be run by the government while the
fourth one will be a private institution. Fifty per
cent seat in this private engineering college will be
filled by candidates clearing Combined Entrance
Competition while the rest 50 per cent will be under
the control of college management.

To ensure admission of students in these colleges the
department of science and technology has contacted the
Council of Bihar Combined Entrance Competition
Examination.
The state government has also decided to turn the
three closed private engineering colleges at Gaya,
Darbhanga and Motihari, into public institutions. In
all 720 students will be selected for these three
colleges––60 for each of the four faculties. They are
electrical and electronics, computer science,
mechanical and telecommunications.
