Patna, (Bihar Times): A policeman was killed by two motorcycle-borne criminals on the campus of the Chapra civil court on Tuesday. They managed to free one of the criminals, Ran Vijay Singh, of Masrakh who was to be produced in the court.
According to the reports the two policemen, who were bringing Singh to the court, were taken by surprise by the criminals, who wanted to free Singh. When the cop tried to resist he was fired upon. He suffered serious injuries and later died. The broad-day light attack in the court premises is not the first to take place in the recent months. Sometimes similar incident took place in the Patna civil court.
