Patna, June 11 : Vice-President Mohammad Hamid Ansari Wednesday inaugurated the Chandragupta Institute of Management Patna (CIMP), a business school on the lines of the prestigious Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs).
Ansari described the CIMP as a big step for modern education. Classes at the institute will begin from the makeshift campus at Hindi Bhawan here from the first week of July. It will initially have a batch of 60 students.
CIMP director V. Mukunda Das last month said IIM-Ahmedababd (IIM-A) had agreed in principle to support CIMP with its technical expertise in setting up the library, although a formal announcement was yet to be made by the authorities in this regard.
Like the IIMs, the proposed institute will offer MBA and other management degrees. Admission to it will be through the Common Admission Test (CAT).
A group of alumni and faculty of IIM-A, who hail from Bihar, have helped the state government establish the CIMP. The state government had already earmarked 20 acres of land to build the institute.
The vice president, who is on a two-day visit to Bihar, was received at the Jai Prakash Narayan International airport by Governor R.S. Gavai and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and given a guard of honour.
Ansari was scheduled to attend a function at Imarat-E-Sharia, an influential Muslim body, in Phulwarisharif Wednesday evening.
On Thursday, he will visit the Mahabodhi temple in Bodh Gaya.

Nitishji and his team are trying hard to improve all types of infrastructure facilities like Road, Power, Education, Banking, Housing, Urban Development etc. in the state but due to poor financial resources their effort are not producing quick result.
To solve the problem of financial resources Nitishji and his team should concentrate on incorporation of new companies with public funding (IPOs) like :
Bihar Infrastructure Development Limited
-To handle and coordinate all infrastructure related work with integrated development approach of the state.
Bihar Banking & Finance Limited
-To manage the problem of agricultural credit & small business finances.
Bihar Cargo & Logistics Limited
-To handle speedy movement of agricultural & industrial products across the country and abroad.
If Nitishji & his team succeeds in incorporation and listing of these companies in the capital market in near future, it will be very easy for foreign investors (FIIs) to enter in the state through equity participation in these companies.
Once the problem of finance get solved, the economy of the state will start its journey towards new trajectory of economic growth.

It is indeed a very good and positive step towards the upliftment of higher education in the state.Nitish Kumar has been trying hard to improve the education environment in the state ,which was in a pathetic situation when he took over from the previous government.I am sure going forward ,the alumini of IITs and the IIMs who are from Bihar will come forward more frequently to help in rebuilding Bihar .I am sure our state will definitely regain its lost glory if we all work towards its development and help Nitishji in his efforts.

Referring to the inauguration of Chandragupta Institute of Management Patna (CIMP) by Shri Mohammad Hamid Ansari, the Hon'ble Vice President of India is certainly a beginning of new era.
I can hope that under the wise leadership of Nitish Kumar Jee, Bihar State will certainly back on track. The past was tremendous and bright, then present became dark and now dark cloud is slowly clearing, making the way for smooth movement of developoment of Sagar.
Further, I would wish to draw the attention of Shri. Ansari's speech when he mentioned "scratch". Really, Nitishjee started his work from scratch. There was hardly anything left for him. I am sure Bihar State will surely transformed to the path of development and no doubt, one day it would be again considered great place for seat and learning when students, pupils from all-over the world will travel to our place in search of knowledge and bright future.
My heartiest congratulations to all including Nitishjee and those who worked tirelessly in order that in a very short time-span, at least, CIMP inaugurated by Shri. Ansari successfully.
Well Done Nitishjee!
