Patna, (Bihar Times): The Patna high court on Thursday
gave relief to the doctors of the Patna Medical
College Hospital in two different cases. It directed
the administration not to take any coercive action
against the six junior doctors against whom warrant of
arrest has been issued.
The court order came after hearing the bail petition
of six junior doctors and an X-ray technician, Sudhir
Kumar Sharma. They were accused of assaulting the
Press photographers on June 5. The rest four junior
doctors were named accused in the case relating to
negligence of a 77-year old patient from Buxar, who
died on May 22.
Justice Shiv Kirti Singh called for the diary of the
case registered against the six junior doctors with
the Pirbahore police station. Justice Singh said that
no coercive action should be taken against them till
July 21, that is, the next day of hearing.
In another case Justice Shailesh Kumar Sinha, hearing
the case of negligence against three out of four
junior doctors, too directed that no coercive action
be taken against the doctors accused in the case. The
court called for case diary in this case too.
