Patna, (Bihar Times): The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is all set to launch package tours for the passengers of Patna to Vaishno Devi in Jammu and Kashmir and Darjeeling in West Bengal.

The whole trip will be of one week. The pilgrim will stay for three days in Vaishno Devi. They would be given to and fro tickets to Jammu Tawi. From Jammu the passengers would be taken to Katra by road. There they would be put in a hotel. The package also includes fooding and lodging arrangements, besides yatra slip and darshan slips. But the passengers will have to pay for their food on the train journey.

According to the Regional Manager of IRCTC, Rajesh Rana, the package tour to Vaishno Devi will start anyday in July. Six berths in AC three-tier and 15 in sleeper have been booked in Archana Express. For the AC three-tier the package trip would be Rs 6,833 for adult and Rs 3,159 for child. However, for the sleeper class the rate would be Rs 4,662 for adult and Rs 1,994 for child.

In case of double and triple occupancy in the AC the charge would be Rs 5,615 and Rs 5,480 each. Similarly the double and triple occupancy would cost Rs 3,443 and Rs 3,307 in sleeper.

The IRCTC already has one such service between New Delhi and Vaishno Devi. It also plans to re-launch the Patna-Darjeeling package tour from October.
