Patna, (Bihar Times): Political scene hots up in the
Janata Dal (United) a day after the issuing of show-cause notices to the rebel leader and former
minister, Monazir Hassan and MLA from Khagaria, Poonam
Yadav. While the former is busy hurling allegations on
the chief minister the latter, on the other hand,
charged all the dropped ministers of being corrupt and
dishonest.
Though the party tried to sound just and balanced the
fact is that the show-cause has been served only to
Monazir. If sources are to be believed Poonam will be
let off lightly. Monazir said a couple of days back
that the chief minister is using Poonam to speak
against all the dismissed ministers. Meanwhile, Poonam
reiterated that she had all the proof of corruption
against the dropped ministers and said that she was
replying to the show-cause notice.
Wednesday witnessed some hectic political activities
with many MLAs––one report says over a dozen––calling
on Monazir. They openly expressed their displeasure
with the way things are going on in the party.
Incidentally those who were seen quite active were the
recently sacked ministers Rameshwar Paswan, Arjun Rai
and Manzar Alam. Monazir told newsmen that he was not
alone in this hour of crisis. However, he refused to
say as to how many MLAs are with him.
On the other hand the state Janata Dal (United) chief,
Lallan Singh, was in Delhi on Wednesday where he
reportedly held talks with the national president of
the party Sharad Yadav.
While all this infighting is going on in JD (U) things
are not at all peaceful in the BJP either where
another day passed without any solution in sight.
