Patna, (Bihar Times): The Chandragupta Institute of
Management Patna has prepared a five-year road map to
develop it into a world-class institute. The road map
could also play a key role in the development of the
state through its Bihar-centric development models.
Talking to a daily V Mukunda Das, the first director
of the institute, said that CIMP would set up five
centres of research relevant to the development of
Bihar, including one for Micro Enterprises Management,
first of its kind in the country.
The IIM pattern courses will be evaluated from the
Bihar perspective to effectively take up locally
relevant development issues and find their solutions,
he said.
According to Das CIMP has started organizing its
faculty with Maitreyi R Kollegam an alumnus of the
Institute for Rural Management Anand (IRMA) and
IIM-Ahmadabad. The Institute would start its fully
residential course with the first-batch of 60 students
in July. By 2012 it plans to start international
programme and outreach centres. He said that the
admission will be strictly on the CAT score and 50 per
cent seats would be reserved for the students of
