Patna, (Bihar Times): Chief minister Nitish Kumar is no more contented with the Green Revolution. Instead he is now for the Rainbow Revolution, that is, like the multi-coloured rainbow this revolution will be multi-faceted.
According to him Green Revolution is a thing of the past. He would not rest till the state achieves the
objective of an all round development of agriculture, animal husbandry, cooperative sector etc. He said the state government would spent Rs 6,135.97 crore in the next four years of consolidated development.
Launching the Agriculture Roadmap on Sunday the chief minister criticized the Centre for not providing adequate economic assistance to the last year’s flood victims in the state. The state government had to distribute relief materials on its own, Nitish said.
The chief minister hoped that migrant Bihari labourers working elsewhere would do their best to help the state progress. He said that many factories in other states have been facing closure ever since Bal and Raj Thackeray threatned the Bihari labourers. Even the farm sector is facing labour crisis in different states.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was expected to launch the Agriculture Roadmap of the state but he could not make it as he was pre-coouped in some other works.
