Patna, (Bihar Times): Actress-turn-Rajya Sabha MP Hema
Malini has sanctioned Rs 25 lakhs for the development
of Bharatiya Nritya Kala Mandir. The money has been
released to the district administration for its
integrated development, which includes air
conditioning of its auditorium, modern lighting
arrangement, separate auditoriums for theatre, seminar
hall and a cafeteria. The fund will also be spent on
solving the perennial problem of water-logging on the
campus.
Though situated in the heart of Patna beside All India
Radio and Doordarshan the Nritya Kala Mandir remains
surrounded by water almost throughout the monsoon.
The spruced up mutli-purpose complex will cater to the
need of various art activities and emerge as the
cultural hub of the state capital.
