Patna, (Bihar Times): The headquarters of Magadh
University situated at Bodh Gaya, 13 kms from Gaya, on
Thursday got linked through video-conferencing with
its branch office in Patna. Since a large number of
Magadh University colleges are situated in Patna
district a couple of years back a branch office came
up here.
Besides, principals of all its 44 constituent colleges
of the University were given a special software for
making the registration of students on-line, providing
guidelines for admission, accounts and examination
through computer networking.
The vice chancellor, B N Pandey, while inaugurating
the video-conferencing inquired about the attendance
of employees present at the Patna branch office from
its incharge Dr Dalbir Singh and directed him to
dispose of the grievances of students at the earliest.
Pandey asked the principals present on the occasion to
undertake the automation work. This would help lessen
the chances of errors in administrative work. Not only
that students would now be able to see their results
at internet and even get details of the academic
session on line.
According to the vice chancellor in the next phase
technical and affiliated colleges of the University
will be linked through video-conferencing. The
University would soon organize a workshop on
automation.
