Patna, (Bihar Times): A two-member team of Maharashtra
police visited Siwan to investigate the matter
involving the chopping off the hands of Shri Kishun
Singh by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena’s activists in
Pune last month.
ACP Sangram Singh and inspector Shinde arrived in
Siwan on Wednesday and recorded Kishun and his wife’s
statement in the hospital for three hours. Kishun
shivered when he saw the two police officials of
Maharashtra in the hospital. Sources said that he
shivers after seeing any stranger before him. The
police team was sent by the Maharashtra government
after the issue was raised in the Lok Sabha by the MPs
from Bihar following the appearance of news in a
section of Press (including Bihar Times).

The two police officials also met the superintendent
of police, Sunil Kumar, and sought the report from the
civil surgeon of Siwan. The police team also paid
visit to Dudha village under Raghunathpur police
station and met Kishun’s co-villagers.
The two police officials made a video-recording of the
whole version of Kishun. They later told the local
media that they would soon submit the report to the
state government.
Kishun, who used to sell bhujja (roasted gram) had his
hands chopped off in Pune last month. The first report
in this regard appeared in a Hindi newspaper on March
1.
