Prem Gupta is RJD’s RS candidate, Sabir Ali common UPA nominee

Patna, (Bihar Times): The RJD on Thursday re-nominated Union Minister for Company Affairs Premchand Gupta for the March 26 Rajya Sabha elections in the state.

Besides, the party struck a deal with Union fertilizer minister Ram Vilas Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party by promising support to its candidate in the polls. It would extend support to Sabir Ali, who in fact is the common United Progressive Alliance candidate as the Congress is also supporting him.

According to the state party president, Abdul Bari Siddiqui, sitting party MLC Badshah Prasad Azad and Janata Dal (United) MLC Tanvir Hasan have been nominated as the RJD candidates. Hasan has now crossed over to the RJD.
