Patna, March 19 : The Patna High Court is grappling with a petition related to a murder that was filed by a man who was already dead.

According to records, Harinandan Paswan filed the criminal writ petition March 13 this year naming his daughter-in-law as an accused in the murder of his son Anil.

But Paswan's death certificate submitted to the court says he died Feb 6, 2008.

On Tuesday, the court asked the lawyer to explain in a month how the petition was filed in the dead man's name.
