Patna, (Bihar Times): Beautician Shahnaz Husain on
Tuesday called on chief minister Nitish Kumar to seek
a CBI probe into the death of his son, Samir Husain.
After the meeting she told mediapersons that the chief
minister assured her that the government would
recommend the CBI investigation into the matter.
Shahnaz, who was sick in New Delhi at the time of
Samir’s death on January 6 last narrated the sequence
of events which took place ever since her son’s
marriage a decade back. She said that she was kept in
dark that her daughter-in-law had tuberculosis at the
time of marriage. She said that her son had to leave
away from his wife for two years because of the
disease. Samir went into depression and he started
living on anti-depressant tablets. Later his wife
would not allow him to talk to him nor would she get
Samir treated properly.
However, the Patna SP, Anwar Husain, said that neither
of the two parties turned up to the police or filed
any written complaint. The police had already
registered a case of suicide.
